Happy Book Day UK

I LOVE BOOKS and Today is WORLD BOOK DAY in the UK. In celebration of this special day I am giving away a selection of my children’s books…

Along with a few of the book characters from the book series – “The Little Humbugs” – my Forest Fairies

Children love to dress up as their favourite book characters …

It was my first published children’s book – “Toffee the Highland Cow” – that opened up opportunities for me to share “storytelling with nature” in schools around the world.  So very grateful to have been gifted these opportunities.

You can read about the Toffee books in this Scotsman Interview

Here is Toffee’s Bug Hunt being read by Scottish actor Hammish Clark on CBBC – watch the video:

The Toffee book series led me on a most magical journey of combining storytelling with nature based art activities that I still love doing to this day, both with children and adults. Storytelling is a fundamental form of human communication and it is so important to remember who and what we are through storytelling.

For a chance to win this book package, simply share “what your favourite book was as a child” in a message below or on my blog post. Good Luck! Winner will be contacted via email at the end of the month.

Looking back on my journey as a children’s author and illustrator I can see how influencial both my environment and the people in my life were to my story-creating – it’s amazing to see quite clearly each stage of my adulthood unfolding through my artwork. So deeply grateful for this beautiful journey.

Orange Moon is my latest children’s book character. Orange Moon (Ellouise- French for Gentle Warrior) was a spiritual gift. Born out of love and compassion – our small gift of love to you.

A child of nature-a connection to what we value and need in our complex world

Orange Moon models how to open our hearts warmly with love to discover more about nature, our relationships and our selves.

HAPPY BOOK DAY Beautiful people!

Know you are deeply loved!

With love and gratitude on this sacred new day, Marghanita x
