Happy Summer

madly in love marghanita

‘There’s a revolution that needs to happen and it starts from inside each one of us. We need to wake up and fall in love with Earth.’ Thich Nhat Hanh

I can’t think of a more magical time than right now during the summer months to reawaken that deep-rooted connection we all have with nature. Here are 5 magical and enchanting activities you can do this summer to help rekindle a love affair with the natural world:

Watch a Sunset

Let the children stay up late and watch the sunset. Time spent in nature opens our hearts and makes us realise we are part of nature too. Give thanks for the gift of the beautiful sunset by saying a prayer. Why not begin a family gratitude journal this summer where everyone is encouraged to make their own entry. Young children can draw what they are grateful for.

Go Barefoot

“When you walk with naked feet, how can you ever forget the earth?”- Carl Jung Wake up and fall in love with Earth  – dance barefoot amongst the dandelions;  climb trees and chase butterflies; make mudpies and sing with the birds and run wild and free in nature.
